Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy has been prepared to inform you about the cookies and similar technologies used on the MercanWorks website (www.mercanworks.com). In this policy you can find out which cookies are placed when you visit our site, the purposes for which they are used, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files that are saved to your device (computer, phone, tablet) by your browser when you visit a website. These files are used to recognise you on your next visit to the site, remember your preferences and improve the site experience.
Cookies do not directly reveal your personal identity; however, because they may contain browser and device information they may be considered personal data. For this reason, transparent disclosure is required under both the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Cookies are divided into session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) and persistent cookies (stored for a defined period). There may also be first-party cookies placed by our site as well as third-party cookies placed by third-party service providers such as Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn.
2. What Types of Cookies Do We Use?
As MercanWorks, we use cookies on our site in the following categories:
2.1 Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the basic functions of the site to operate. They are used for technical purposes such as security, session management and cookie preference storage. Separate consent is not legally required for necessary cookies; however, if you disable them, some sections of the site may not function correctly.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our site. Measurement ID: G-JW7CQMDRZR. Google Analytics is configured to work with Consent Mode v2; without your consent, analytics data is not collected or transmitted to Google.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to improve user experience. Clarity collects anonymous user interaction data through heatmaps and session recordings. This service is also activated only when analytics consent is given.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Approximate Duration |

5. How Can You Manage Your Cookie Preferences?
You have the right to change your cookie preferences at any time. There are two ways to do this on our site:
5.1 Cookie Preference Panel
You can use the "Manage My Cookie Preferences" button at the bottom of this policy to open our cookie preference panel. Through this panel you can accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies separately. Your preferences are saved in localStorage and can be updated at any time through the same panel.
5.2 Google Ad and Analytics Settings
To disable Google's ad personalisation globally, you can visit the Google Ad Settings page. To block Google Analytics tracking, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Managing Cookies via Browser Settings
You can also manage or delete all cookies from your browser settings. Guidance for popular browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site permissions
- Opera: Settings → Advanced → Privacy and security → Site Settings → Cookies
Disabling cookies via browser settings may cause some functions on the site to not work correctly. If necessary cookies (including localStorage) are blocked, your cookie preference records may not be remembered.
